Boys Game Recap

FINAL: Palm Springs 42 | Okeeheelee 13

Palm Springs controlled the game with defensive pressure, athleticism and the ability to turn turnovers into quick offense. Their guards consistently attacked the paint, while active hands on defense created steals and transition opportunities throughout the game. #0 Junior Noukelak was especially effective, making plays on both ends, while #23 Luke Gibbs added defensive pressure and attacked aggressively in transition.

Okeeheelee struggled to generate consistent offense but showed flashes when they were able to settle down and execute. Their best possessions came through good ball movement and getting the ball inside, including a well-executed sideline out-of-bounds set that found their size in the paint. #31 Brayden gave Okeeheelee a strong interior presence and something to build around.

Palm Springs’ defensive activity, transition game and ability to finish around the basket ultimately created the separation in a 42–13 victory.

Girls Game Recap

FINAL: Palm Springs 51 | Okeeheelee 2

Palm Springs dominated from start to finish, using relentless defense to fuel its offense in a 51–2 win over Okeeheelee. Their pressure created turnover after turnover, leading to easy transition baskets and a commanding 37–0 halftime lead.

#22 Ariah Lambert, #12 Zariah Jackson and #5 Janiah Shelton set the tone. Lambert played with poise and consistently turned defense into offense, Jackson controlled the paint and glass, and Shelton was disruptive in the passing lanes, creating steals and transition opportunities.

Okeeheelee continued to battle despite the deficit. #31 Paige Davis broke through with their lone basket, using a nice turnaround move in the middle of the paint to score through contact, while #25 Catalina Wilderson competed hard on the offensive glass.

Palm Springs’ defensive intensity, experience and basketball IQ were simply too much as their defense led the offense all game
